What is a revenue center?
A revenue center is an organizational unit whose managers are evaluated solely on the basis of sales. Managers of these units should exert significant influence over those factors that may impact their ability to generate sales such as pricing decisions and sales and marketing strategies, among others. For more information, see our training module, Controllable and Non-controllable Costs.
